Monaco Grand Prix extended until 2035

A historic agreement sealed in 2025

On Friday, September 5, 2025, during the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, and Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM), officially signed a new agreement ensuring the presence of the Monaco Grand Prix on the Formula 1 calendar until the 2035 season. This extension follows the previous contract, signed in November 2024, which had already guaranteed the event until 2031.

On the official ACM website, the extension was clearly announced: « The Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix has been extended by 4️⃣ more seasons… The event will therefore remain on the Formula 1 World Championship calendar until 2035! »

Stefano Domenicali emphasized the symbolic importance of this race:
« The streets of Monaco have been echoing with the sound of Formula 1 since the earliest days of the sport, so I’m delighted to announce the extension of this fantastic event to 2035. It is an iconic race that is loved by all drivers and fans, with a unique vibe thanks to its location on the world’s most glamorous Principality »

Prince Albert II of Monaco expressed his pride and commitment:
« The renewal of the Monaco Grand Prix until 2035 is in keeping with a sporting and historical tradition to which the Principality remains deeply attached. I can only welcome this renewed commitment, which is testament to our collective success, the excellence of our collaboration with Formula 1, and the unique place that Monaco occupies in the international motorsport landscape »

Michel Boeri, for his part, highlighted the long-lasting trust between both parties:
« The Automobile Club de Monaco is delighted with this four-year extension, which reflects the strong and enduring relationship between Formula 1 and the Principality of Monaco »

The symbol of a strong partnership

This extension confirms the inseparable image of the Monaco Grand Prix in the history of F1. The event is one of the oldest and most prestigious, held since 1929 and included in the World Championship since 1950 (with some interruptions, notably in 2020).

The agreement comes at a time when F1 is seeking to restructure its calendar in order to reduce logistical constraints while avoiding scheduling conflicts. Starting in 2026, the Monaco Grand Prix will therefore move from its traditional late May slot to the first full weekend of June, in order to avoid overlapping with the Indianapolis 500.
