Apple Maps:
3D Monaco for the F1 Grand Prix

Apple has recently enhanced its Maps app by introducing a "Detailed City Experience" for the Principality of Monaco, offering an unprecedented immersion in the city—just in time for the 2025 Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.
An immersive 3D model of Monaco
Starting May 14, 2025, Apple Maps users can explore Monaco with accurate 3D renderings of its iconic landmarks. Featured sites include the Casino de Monte-Carlo, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the Fairmont Monte Carlo, the Yacht Club de Monaco, and the F1 Paddock Club. These structures are recreated with meticulous attention to detail, offering a realistic view of the city. In dark mode, a simulated night glow mimics city lighting at dusk.
An enhanced experience for the Monaco Grand Prix
In preparation for the Monaco Grand Prix taking place from May 23 to 25, 2025, Apple Maps highlights the Formula 1 circuit on the map. Users can view key circuit elements in 3D, such as famous corners, grandstands, footbridges, and the finish line. Practical information, such as road closures, is also integrated to assist spectators.
Improved navigation for users
Beyond 3D rendering, the Detailed City Experience brings major navigation improvements. Details include road markings, land cover, trees, and public transit routes. Useful information such as turn lanes, medians, bike lanes, and crosswalks is also available. A windshield-level view helps drivers understand traffic conditions at complex intersections, making navigation easier.
In synergy with "F1 The Movie"
This update coincides with the upcoming release of "F1 The Movie", an original Apple production starring Brad Pitt. To mark the occasion, Apple Maps offers a curated guide showcasing the most iconic Formula 1 circuits, including Monaco, allowing fans to dive deeper into the racing world.
